They have removed a lot. I could not believe all the info and bad info out there. I am not very good with the internet anymore. So when I tried to clear up myself. I seemed to just add more. There are a lot of sites still with my info. But have my trust they will clear them up for me

Optery saved me tons of time! Removing one's information from the internet is a huge task and Optery does a great job. They even provide the proof of their success via screen shots of before and after searches for each website, clearly demonstrating that your information has been removed. I'd prefer a one-time, fixed term plan versus a subscription. But cancelling the subscription was easy.

Spam calls went from 30 a day to 1

They helped reduce the number of spam calls I was getting, from 10-30 a day to 1-3 a day. What a relief. After I signed up to get a quote for a home improvement project on HomeAdvisor/Angi (do NOT ever do that), they sold my info to every data collector on the planet. Optery found those data companies and systematically and persistently requested them to purge my info. After a 2-3 months, it really worked. You can get your results for free and try doing it yourself, but no one really has the time for that. It's worth the fee to clean up your personal information online.

Optery is an excellent company that excels in keeping my data out of data brokers' hands. They also provide exceptional customer service when you have a question and respond quickly. They will also prorate your charges if you downgrade or upgrade during the cycle. They consistently keep me under 10% exposed online, which is very good because it’s a constant fight to keep your data private. Once one data broker has your data, it’s shared again with others. I am pleased with the 3 years I have used them, and I also added a family member to receive a discount.

So far, after a few months, I've seen good success. I've seen a significant reduction in search returns and my footprint. The process takes time and is not a One-and-done because companies continue to sell or to transfer your information ... It takes maintenance, not a "bandaid" ... bandaids fall off. I'm convinced this is just one of many things we need to do to protect our families and assets.

A healthy skeptic review

I tested the waters of Optery for several months before reviewing them. The verdict? They have very impressive data scrubbing services. I give them a 4 out of 5 cause NOTHING's perfect. But within 3 months, they've scrubbed my data from over a couple hundred data broker sites. Not only that, but they email you monthly progress reports of the specific sites that your data's been removed from. You receive a before and after screenshot chart. You can easily proof their statements with a simple search engine check of your name. I chose the Ultimate package at sign up for maximum effect. Obviously, many people have common full names. When you sign up, you can list a history of addresses, numbers, and household residents to be as precise as possible when they scrub the data. So far so great! Give them at least 90 days to work for a maximum effect.

An Essential Service If We Value Our Privacy!

Optery offers a valuable service at a reasonable price. In today's world, digital privacy is very difficult to achieve. For nearly two centuries in this nation, our laws recognized that privacy is "the right to be left alone." Regrettably, those days are far behind us. Today, our data is big business. Corporations believe our data is THEIR property simply because they have monitored, collected, archived, and sold information about our personal online behavior and buying habits... consistently without our permission or even our awareness. This is a twisted and self-serving viewpoint to be sure, but it is indeed today's reality. Optery offers individuals an affordable and convenient method to push back a bit on the bazillion data aggregators. Sadly, they collect and sell our information with complete abandon. The service offered by Optey scrubs this information quite well... and rescrubs it when it reappears (a constant battle). In previous years, I spent the time and effort to clean up this digital "bread crumb trail" by my own efforts. Within a few short years, aggregators became so prolific that my personal efforts were totally insufficient (and I'm a retired CEO from the computer industry).Upon discovering Optery, I was a bit skeptical at first. However, I have found this service to be amazingly thorough, convenient and a reasonable value for the money. For the past couple years, my annual membership has been a very good use of money... and offers me some peace of mind in an age when this has become an increasing rarity. Great experience

I’ve been using Optery for the past few year and have seen a reduction in exposure through data brokers. This has reduced spam calla and texts. I recently had a billing issue with my yearly renewal, and it was addressed and fixed within an hour. That’s awesome customer service especially as it was a Saturday.

I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but I am absolutely hopping mad. I signed up for [Optery], and they managed to remove my personal information from 400+ data broker sites. What makes me angry is what happened afterward. Once they removed me, I realized my spam dropped to almost nothing. I used to get absolutely mail-bombed with spam emails. It was so bad that I had to move my domain to [Fastmail) just to have any hope of controlling my inbox. Now it’s obvious what was happening: bots, spammers, and other automated systems were pulling my information directly from the data broker databases that Optery removed me from. Even my spam calls finally started going down. I am furious that I found this out so late. I’ve been dealing with endless spam calls and email bombardment for years, and all this time my personal data was just sitting out there, feeding these systems. It takes a while to get off those 400+ data broker sites but be patient, it is worth the wait!!!!!

They helped me during a difficult time

This company really helped me when I was being harassed by someone online, they had found all of my previous addresses and were able to get ahold of my Mother and Fathers phone numbers including mine aswell, I cant speak on their customer service as I never had to contact anyone in support but the subscription really gave me peace of mind while that whole ordeal was going on, I would honestly reccomend this service

I'm a clinician, and it's vital that my physical address is hidden from unstable clients. Data brokers make this virtually impossible to do on my own. I've been using Optery's Ultimate package for over a year now and they've scrubbed about 75% of my personal data off the net! Frequent updates and reports are plainly laid out and you can see clearly where you currently stand. The website presentation and maneuverability is sleek and fuid. The FAQ's, shared results and suggestions are greatly defined for informed decision making. Optery does what it claims and then some! I highly recommend using their identity protection services!

The support I received was great. As I tried to cancel my subscription of their service I was in constant contact with the support team. There is nothing wrong with what this company offers, it just wasnt for me. Their support team went out of their way to help me and my cancellation request was quickly accomplished. They have been doing what I hired them to do so far and removing my personal information sold all over the web and Dark ScamWeb. The screenshots are in my profile of the exposure, the process status, and when removed a screenshot of no information found search results. As for the scam "Dishonest" brokers if they won't remove I want to see containment and hamming anymore they sell to. Even escalation and threatening legal action if the information showing is false inflammatory slanderous or misleading. Bottom line I understand this is a never ending battle at the same time I want to see if not removed to be contained and or buried as long as you guys are doing your job and hamming and keeping the pressure on you’ll have a customer for a long long time thank you for your work so far. FYI some of these not so great reviews on here are possibly scamming brokers or maybe someone that does not quite understand this is long battle against an enemy that will not play fair (DarkScamWeb). Unless you have $1000's to burn on a lawfirm that can't do much against someone or some company outside of your own this is one of your better options as long as they keep up their end of the deal and hammer these jokers with requests and escalate accordingly in a not so friendly manner after many nice attempts have failed.

Service is Great, App Needs Improvement

The service that Optery provides, to find and remove your information off the internet, is actually pretty good. I check the monthly reports for myself and so far they have been really good at finding my information online and also showing proof of deletion. The only reason I’m taking off a star from the review is because of their app. I feel like it needs to be more user friendly and more convenient for the user. The amount they charge for their service, I would also want a very decent app for that price too.

When I requested my free scan, it came back with 368 data broker listings! I’ve been using the service for awhile now, and they just emailed me an updated report. They’ve gotten it all the way down to 39! And it looks like several of those are new data brokers that they just founded!

definitely the best all around service when it comes to the fight against Data brokers. I did a research report on opt out services a lil while back and optery beat every other opt out services on the market at the time. unlike other services optery won't sell your information back to market. covers more broker removals. definitely more bang for your buck if you don't want to personally opt your self out but if you do they will even show you how to for free.

Edit: After Optery released their updated version of the app, I can login! And now the app seems to work great! Original Review: Unfortunately, I can't even login. The regex they use for client-side validation of email addresses doesn't allow my email address, even though it's a valid email. So, for now, I guess I wait for Optery to release an updated version of the app with a standards-compliant email regex that actually lets me login and use the app. Until then, the app is useless.

So far, it's good, now that I clearly understand what Optery does. My spam calls still happen, but my spam emails have decreased. Overall, I'm happy, so far. Please get rid of the ad that appears on YouTube with the smirking blond guy. He is so annoying!!

Fantastic app if you're okay with results over time and not instant. I used to receive a minimum of about 5 to 10 calls per day. This service doesn't work instantly, but after a few weeks to about a month you really notice a drastic change. I've had this service for about 3 months at the time of review, and I might get 1 call a week. App is constantly working for you. I'm using the 3 dollar per month and I'm satisfied. Remember, it's not instant because it's a process to remove you from brokers
